THE ARCTIC GROUP INC. COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF IOWA-BASED KRIEG BOYS ICE

Further to its March 2, 1998 news release, The Arctic Group Inc. Announced it has completed the acquisition of all of the assets and operations of Iowa-based D.K.E. Enterprises Inc., which does business as Krieg Boys Ice.

Based in Dubuque, Iowa, Krieg Boys Ice is the largest ice production and distribution company in the state.

The acquisition of Krieg Boys Ice has been completed through a combination of cash and the issuance of common shares. The acquisition is effective July 1, 1998.
